The History of Pro Autobody
Pro Auto body owes everything to its founder, Jeff Wilske, who’s heritage dates back to his teen years of the early 70's when he opened his first shop in Livingston Montana. He did everything from rebuilding totaled cars to towing recovery and just generally taking care of the townsfolk cars. Learned autobody from a man whose own experience dated back to the introduction of automotive repair. He Learned how to repair cars to stay on the road forever regardless of the time it took to repair each car. This knowledge and patience have only grown with his age and translates into the company that we are today.
In his youth, Jeff learned mechanical maintenance and performance motorsports as well. He talks about his several cars that would do wheelies and his other wild projects when you ask about the golden days of his life.
Now Jeff is our sole tow truck driver and quality control officer in charge of inspecting every vehicle throughout the process and on its way out the door ensuring that there is absolutely no flaws in our work.
Jeff founded Pro auto body in 1992 shortly after moving to Yakima, he invested all his money in the business and quickly became known for his incredible ability to do framework. Chances are if you had frame damage repaired on your vehicle before 2010 Jeff did it, no one else in town was able to, Jeff is still known today for his ability to line a frame up. There is no job too large for him. In fact, we challenge you to ask the professionals in town who they think the best person is for framework.
Jeff’s son Jase has been working with him for almost 10 years now. His main goals are to bring Pro Auto Body into the future stronger than before and well equipped to handle the next generation of cars and people alike.
Moving forward, as we finish building the new facility we plan to continue to expand. Within the year we hope to have our gated storage facility open and ready for business within the next year!
50 Years Of Experience
There’s nothing more important than experience when it comes to hands-on work. That’s why we wear our years of experience on our shoulders and scream it from the hilltops. Who has been working on the restoration work longer than they’ve been on the road? We have. Who’s been turning wrenches and painting cars for more years than millennials have been alive? We have. And, who has stayed ahead of the development of technology? We Have.
